As the Director of Admissions and Middle School Programs, Wes oversees the recruitment of BTSV’s new student cohorts, as well as leading the strategic design of programming for these students over their first two years.
Prior to this role, Wes held roles at several education nonprofits across the Bay, partnering with students, families, educators, and districts spanning from his hometown of San Francisco to San Mateo County and down to San José. His work focuses on bridging the opportunity gap for all students, both within and outside the academic system. He started his career as an AmeriCorps member at City Year, serving at schools in East San José.
Wes has Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UC Riverside and a Master of Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco.
Wes enjoys planning his next travel destination and hopes to visit every continent at least once in his lifetime. He’s currently 4 for 7.
