As the Summer Activities Lead (SAL), you will lead co-curricular activities that are vital in creating a vibrant, engaging, and inclusive student experience during the Breakthrough Silicon Valley (BTSV) Summer Program. Serving directly with the Dean of Students(DoS), SALs are responsible for planning and executing a range of co-curricular activities that foster student leadership, summer program spirit, and community building. In addition, SALs support program data collection, student and family communication, and the day-to-day operations of the summer site.
Teaching Fellows are responsible for delivering engaging instruction in core academic subjects such as reading, writing, math, and science, as well as leading elective classes that inspire and motivate middle school students. In addition, Fellows serve as Crew Leaders, fostering community and building relationships through daily crew time by planning and facilitating icebreakers, energizers, and team-building activities.
Summer
Site Associate
(Summer 2027)
As the Summer Site Associate, you play an instrumental role in supporting the success of BTSV’s nationally recognized summer program. You’ll work directly with the Dean of Students in leading your summer staff at one of our three summer sites to ensure a positive, productive, and safe experience for all participants. You’ll oversee the process and management of all things related to facilities and logistics at your site to ensure that all students, faculty, and staff have access to the needed rooms, space, technology, and supplies to execute a strong and successful program.
