What are the volunteer requirements?

We are looking for individuals in the professional workforce and familiar with the rigors of the full-time job search process. Having direct hiring experience is a plus, but not required! Volunteer training will be led by a workshop facilitator.

What Will I do at the workshop?

You will work one-on-one or in small groups with students.

At the Resume Review & Mock Interview session, volunteers will review draft resumes and provide valuable feedback, help students understand what employers are looking for, and provide feedback they can incorporate to help them stand out amongst other applicants. Volunteers will also help students practice their interview techniques and identify suggestions to convey their strengths, grow confidence when speaking about themselves, and overcome the interview jitters.

Who ARE THE STUDENTS attending the workshop?

Our professional development workshops are designed for our talented and motivated high school sophomores, who have been with our program since the summer before 7th grade and are preparing to make the most of their last two-plus years of high school.
