Aylin started as College Access Program Coordinator in Fall 2025. In this role, Aylin advises 9th and 10th grade students, facilitates workshops, and organizes campus field trips. She previously served as an AmeriCorps Academic Advisor for two and a half years, advising students in every grade from 7th–12th. 

She first learned about BTSV when she was an undergraduate at Bryn Mawr College and applied to be a Teaching Fellow (7th grade Literature 2019!). She is a first-generation college graduate and is currently pursuing an MA in Counseling and Guidance at SJSU.

Aylin’s favorite hobbies are traveling, reading, and crafting.

“As an AmeriCorps Academic Advisor, I worked with the Class of 2025 throughout their senior year. I first met them as a Teaching Fellow during their first Breakthrough summer in 2019. I came full circle and was able to reconnect with and support them as they took the next steps in their educational journeys.”
