Breakthrough Silicon Valley has many funding needs. Our ‘A la Carte’ list allows you to focus your donation by matching it to a specific opportunity.
Provide a full year of academic programs for one student — $2,500
This includes the summer program, the after-school math program, high school placement counseling and the college bound program. Help a child realize their academic dreams!
Sponsor a teacher — $1,500
Our teachers are vital to the success of our program! Each teacher instructs and mentors 30 middle school students. Each teacher is from a top high school or university from across the nation, 63% are students of color and after teaching at Breakthrough, 78% pursue a career in education.
Partial Sponsorship of a 3 day College Trip — $1,000
Attending college is the culmination of 6 years of hard work in the Breakthrough program for our students! Helping 5 students see prospective college campuses is a great way to send them off!
Sponsor one student in the afterschool program — $500
Our after-school program prepares students for Geometry by the 9th grade. 100% of BSV students are enrolled in college preparatory mathematics coursework.
Underwrite a college readiness workshop — $250
This sponsorship opportunity allows 20 students to work on enhancing study skills, building financial literacy, exploring college education options and preparing for ACTs.
Provide 10 novels for summer session — $100
Novels focus on every student performing at an advanced reading and writing level and include authors such as Steinbeck and Shakespeare.
