Applying to Breakthrough Silicon Valley is a very selective process. We accept only motivated students who are ready to work hard to achieve their dreams. There are no tuition fees; the program is free to students. Your commitment is your payment.
During December and January, we recruit students at San Jose Unified School District middle schools. If you come to a recruitment presentation, you will be able to pick up an application from one of our directors or from your school principal.
If we do not visit your school but you want to apply to Breakthrough Silicon Valley, contact us.
Prior to February 1st, we conduct informational meetings, for you and your family to learn more and ask any questions you might have. Please email our office to learn more about where and when the next informational meeting will be held.
Once you have submitted an application, we will select students to a second round of the process. Selected students and their parents will be invited to a day of interviews towards the end of February.
Based on the student and parent applications, recommendations and interviews, we will select our new class of students in mid-March. Decision letters are mailed during this period.
